Project: Lethal Armor

Project: Lethal Armor

[By: Cameron Lerch - Thu Feb 24 17:41:34 2005]

Status: in development

A multiplayer tank game for Linux and Windows written in C++ utilizing OpenGL and PLIB.

Features:

- Multiplayer support based on a client/server architecture supporting 16 players per round (ai or human).
- Realistic 3D texture mapped environments.
- Realistic controls.
- Runs on Linux and Windows 9x/2000/XP, possibly more.

Info:

See the README/INSTALL included for more info. Basically Lethal Armor is an upcoming game still in progress.

Update (02-24-2005): Development has slowed to a near-halt. I have very little time to spend going solo on this project, so I am now looking for volunteers. If you interested, get in touch with me [here].

Update (05-10-2004): Project now has a name! Tankbattle is now known as Lethal Armor. Development is still coming along, very slowly though.

Update (01-20-2004): I realize I claimed I was close to a release back in September, but it is still not there yet. Sooooon...

Update (09-27-2003): Close to a release, but there are still a couple problems that make the cvs version of Tankbattle unplayable--busy with school again, so my dev time will be sparse. Check back for a v1.0 release soon, I'll try to get some screenshots up.

Update (07-27-2003): Progress is going well--networking is nearly complete, and the environment is now fully modelled and textured. Tankbattle has also been ported to Windows 9x/2000/xp. Look for a v1.0 release coming up in the next month or so.
